More than Medicine: The Story Behind the Move

As we celebrate one year in our new location, we want to share the story behind our move! We offer something special to pet owners across Oklahoma and beyond: A veterinary clinic that combines traditional care with integrative and alternative treatments! These include: Chiropractic care, regenerative medicine, acupuncture, laser therapy, herbal medicine, and ozone therapy, all in one place!

The Foundation

Dr. Brad W. Roach, DVM, CVA, founder of Holistic Pet Care Center of Oklahoma, graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1990. He began his career practicing traditional veterinary medicine at Best Friends Animal Clinic in Shawnee, Oklahoma. After nine years in practice, Dr. Roach became frustrated with the limits of conventional treatments. He believed there had to be better ways to support healing, recovery, and long-term health. This belief led him to study integrative and alternative therapies and slowly bring them into his practice. The results were clear. Pets improved, healing outcomes got better, and Dr. Roach discovered a new passion: Combining traditional and holistic medicine to help pets live healthier lives.

Growth and Demand

In 2015, Dr. Roach opened a second location in Del City called Holistic Pet Care Center of Oklahoma. In 2023, Dr. Karen Anderson joined the team after seeing the power of integrative medicine in her own dog, Herman, who suffered from an autoimmune disease. After six months of holistic care and a remarkable recovery, she knew this was the kind of medicine she wanted to practice. In 2024, Dr. Casey Marshall also joined the team. She had been involved with Holistic Pet Care Center of Oklahoma during her undergraduate studies and veterinary school and had already seen how integrative care could change lives. She knew this was where she belonged. By then, it was clear that our clinics in Shawnee and Del City had outgrown their spaces.

The Move

In 2024, both clinics were combined into one location. We purchased and remodeled the building at 801 N. Air Depot Blvd. in Midwest City to better serve our growing team and patients! On January 16, 2025, the new Holistic Pet Care Center of Oklahoma officially opened.

Today, we can:

• Serve more pets

• Offer expanded services

• Provide a calm, comfortable space for healing

Pet owners now travel to us not only from Oklahoma, but also from Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, New York, and beyond!

Looking Ahead

Dr. Roach’s passion for offering better healing options for pets continues to grow. He now works to help other veterinarians learn how to add holistic tools to their traditional practices. Even using one or two integrative treatments can improve outcomes and change lives! The Holistic Pet Care Center of Oklahoma is living proof that integrative medicine works.
