From Sneezing to Snuggles!

Ocho, a 12-year-old cat, started having occasional “baby sneezes” in 2024. He was doing great otherwise, and the sneezes came and went, so his owners didn’t worry at first. But, in March 2025, his condition changed quickly. His sneezes started to include small drops of blood, and one of his eyes became watery. Ocho acted normal, but his owners knew the blood was a serious sign, so an appointment with HPCC was scheduled for the following week. That weekend, he was rushed to a pet urgent care with a heavy nosebleed. After reviewing his bloodwork, he was given an initial diagnosis of lymphoma.

Urgent care recommended a specialist to confirm lymphoma, but the diagnostic testing and treatment would cost around $10,000, which was far more than Ocho’s owner could afford. Instead, they brought him home for supportive care.

At a follow-up appointment at HPCC, Dr. Roach suggested an X-ray of Ocho's skull. The results revealed a sinus mass and loss of normal sinus structure. Ocho's prognosis was grave. Dr. Roach and Dr. Marshall immediately started an affordable alternative cancer protocol, including traditional Chinese herbs and other medications to support Ocho.

To everyone’s surprise, Ocho began improving quickly. He passed the two-week mark and continued getting better every day. His nosebleeds slowly decreased and then stopped, his sneezing faded, his breathing became clearer, and his energy returned.

Since then, he has acted like his old self again. He’s the same snuggly, purring “Mr. Snugglebunny” he’s always been. His quality of life has returned to normal since starting treatment.
