Jaime's Story
Jaime graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a focus on biology, psychology, and art. She also played collegiate softball on scholarship for the Southern Owls. Her passion for animals started early. She spent much of her childhood exploring gardens and the ocean, discovering all kinds of creatures. Jaime volunteered at animal shelters and loved visiting the Audubon Society to learn about native wildlife.
Even on vacation, she found ways to help animals. She volunteered at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (C.R.O.W.) on Sanibel Island, Florida, and she and her husband visited the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island, where they adopted a loggerhead turtle named Ironside. After recovering from his injuries, Ironside was released back into the wild.
Jaime’s deep love and compassion for animals led her into the veterinary field, where she has worked in many roles over the past 20 years. While she doesn’t mind helping with patients, many people recognize her as one of the friendly faces at the reception desk.
Outside of work, Jaime enjoys photographing flowers and wildlife, especially hummingbirds, butterflies, and other insects. She loves spoiling her three cats: Zelda, Jellybean, and Moses. On weekends, she spends time with her husband, Matthew, and they both love cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners’ softball and football teams. Boomer!
Come see Jaime and out other amazing staff at the clinic!
