Whitney’s passion for veterinary medicine began in the most unexpected way—when her beloved Pitbull was tragically shot. Without the means to take her to a vet, Whitney stepped in to provide care herself, and against all odds, her dog survived. That experience opened her eyes to the many animals in need, inspiring her to dedicate her life to helping them.

She pursued her education through the Veterinary Assistant program at Metro Tech School and has been working in the field for the past three years. This spring, she plans to take the next step in her career by enrolling in an RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) program.

Whitney’s love for animals extends beyond her work. She shares her home with Millie, a Great Dane (as seen in picture). She rescued Millie after she was abandoned with six other Great Danes near a river. Millie has been by her side for three years now, along with Belle, her adorable English Bulldog.
